NEBOSH certificate level courses provide a good foundation in health and safety or environmental management systems and principles to help managers, supervisors and those in health and safety with their day-to-day responsibilities.
Many students & professionals
ask us the difference between NEBOSH, IOSH & OSHA which are demanded by
organizations for the jobs in the Occupational Health and Safety field. NEBOSH
“National Examination Board in Occupational Health and Safety” NEBOSH is a
UK-based independent examination board delivering vocational
qualifications in health, safety & environmental practice and management.
NEBOSH does not deliver courses. It develops syllabuses for its qualifications
and sets methods of assessment, such as examinations and practical coursework
The
NEBOSH National General Certificate is the most popular health and safety
qualification in the UK. As a level 3 qualification, equivalent to UK A-levels,
it provides a broad understanding of health and safety issues within the modern
workplace. You don’t need any previous knowledge or experience to take the
NEBOSH Certificate, so it’s perfect if you are just starting out in your health
and safety career.
Once you have successfully completed all the units of a
NEBOSH qualification, it will never expire. There is no need to retake the
exams after a certain period.
That is why NEBOSH
(and sheer common sense) strongly recommend that you enrol for a course leading
to the latest version of your qualification every few years. It’s the simplest,
most effective way to ensure you are fully aware of what has changed since you
took the exam and gained the NEBOSH qualification.
Taking such
refresher courses is entirely optional. But rarely has something optional been
so essential. Both the safety and wellbeing of people in the workplace and the
health of you career depend on up-to-date knowledge and awareness of the latest
issues.
